Bar/bat-mitzvah preparation  can be an enjoyable, uplifting, and a personalized experienced for the whole family.  It is a chance to explore being Jewish in playful and serious ways and what it means to be part of the broader Jewish community.

What does B'NAI-MITZVAH PREPARATION look like?
These weekly, hour long lessons begin 7-12 months before a person's bat/bar-mitzvah.  The tutor and student (and guardians) develop a long term learning plan and goals as well as a weekly progress tracker.  It is a mixture of skill acquisition that will be useful for the rest of the student's Jewish life and an illuminating exploration of the bar/bat-mitzvah Torah portion.
Students and guardians receive support throughout this process leading up to and on the celebration day.  This relationship of learning can also continue after the ceremony with other types of Jewish learning.
All written, audio, visual, and other materials necessary for preparation are provided by the tutor.

Looking to get a jumpstart on Hebrew?
ONE-ON-ONE HEBREW TUTORING: For all ages. Learn to read and have conversations using videos, books, music, and dancing.  We can focus on Modern or Biblical Hebrew and use multiple learning modes for auditory, visual, kinesthetic, and/or combination learners.

HEBREW-VOICE LESSONS: Have you always wanted to learn Hebrew and also take voice lessons?  Are you involved in several activities and don't have the time or money for both?  Now you can study Hebrew and voice simultaneously.  By studying and performing Hebrew songs in your genre of interest, we work on vocal technique, Hebrew pronunciation, and comprehension.  One of the best ways to learn a language is to sing it and translate it.  This is a fun way to understand Hebrew language, culture, and music, and a great way to develop vocal technique at the same time.
